Initial Cleaning

The initial cleaning allows you to remove debris and construction dirt. To facilitate this operation it is recommended to remove as much cement and grout residue while laying the tiles. Clean the work area with a sponge using clean water. Change the water as often as possible while working, to reduce the build up of residues. It is essential that careful cleaning takes place prior to sealing.

For initial cleaning we recommend Fila CLEANER PRO.

Coverage:
Diluted 1:30 it will cover 40 m2 per litre.

Tools :
Brush, Pad, Cloth, Rotary Machine, Aqua Vac

Procedure:
Dilute the product in water at ratio 1:30.
Apply to the floor and leave it to work for 5 minutes.
Then rub the surface with an abrasive sponge or with a brush.
Collect the residues and rinse with water.
In case of vertical surfaces, wet a sponge with the solution.
Spread it on the wall and leave it to act for 5 minutes.
Then work the surface with an abrasive sponge, collect the residues and rinse with water.

Sealing

After the initial cleaning, when the surface is dry we suggest to proceed with the application of a water based anti-stain sealer. It will reduce the absorption of water and non acid staining agents without changing the look of the tiles.

For stain protection we recommend Fila MP 90 ECO XTREME

Coverage:
1 litre per 15 – 20 m2

Tools :
Cloth, Brush, Paper Towel

Procedure:
Using a paintbrush, apply the Sealing product evenly and continually to a clean dry surface.
Wait 15 minutes, then remove any residues with a cloth.
Wait 4 hours before walking on the surface and 24 hours before wetting.
Carry out a patch test on a small surface area to check for any changes in colour. It does not protect against acids.

Finishing Wax for Interiors

Wax facilitates easy maintenance operations and modifies the surface finish.
In this case, FILA proposes the application of 3 different types of waxes, to be chosen according to the appearance you want to give to the surface.

Classic – gives a glossy finish.
Satin – gives a soft sheen.
Matt – gives an even matt finish.

The wax should be spread on a dry floor using a spandicera fleece.
Wait an hour and then proceed with the application of the second coat of product in the transverse direction to the first.
Wait an hour then, in the case of CLASSIC and SATIN proceed with polishing with wool cloth or polishing machine.
Every 2-3 months it is essential to apply a coat of diluted product to keep the waxy layer in good condition.
Then pour 500 ml of wax into 5 litres of water, apply to the surface and let it dry.
Then, if necessary, polish.
Remember that the wax is sensitive to water so can not be used outdoors or in places prone to gathering water.

Ordinary Maintenance

In order to carry out correct routine maintenance, we recommend that you always use neutral detergents.
These, properly used, allow you to clean the area without damage to the surface or its sealing protection.
We recommend washing at least weekly in order to avoid organic build up.
In case of floors, we suggest using Fila CLEANER PRO.

Coverage:
Diluted 1:200 it will cover 1500 m2 per litre.

Tools :
Cloth, Mop

Procedure:
Dilute 3 caps of product in 5 litres of water.
Soak a cloth with the solution, wring it and wipe the surface.
Leave to dry.
At this dilution it is possible to use a washer dryer machine.

Cleaning Stubborn Marks

In the case of stubborn dirt or marks, we recommend using Fila CLEANER PRO.

Coverage:
Diluted 1:30 it will cover 40 m2 per litre.

Special Cleaning – Degreasing Agent

In the case of difficult organic deposits or extraordinary dirt, we suggest washing with Fila PS 87 PRO.
Do not use of waxed floors.

Coverage:
Diluted 1:10 it will cover 40 m2 per litre.

Procedure:
Dilute the product in water at ratio 1:10.
Apply to the floor and leave it to work for 5 minutes.
Then cleanthe surface with an abrasive sponge or with a brush.
Collect the residues and rinse with clean water.
Do not used it on polished new surfaces.
Keep away from plastic materials.

Stain Removal

In the case of particularly difficult and stubborn marks or stains, there are several specialist products available for sealing.

Grease or oily stain removal – Fila NOSPOT

Silicon, wax or glue removal – Fila ZERO SIL

Rust stain removal – Fila NORUST

Organic and food pigment stain removal – Fila SR95

Precautions:
It is not recommended to use acid based detergents, degreasing detergents (with alkaline pH) or extremely abrasive tools for ordinary maintenance.
If it is absolutely necessary to use acid or basic products, contact the supplier of the cleaning product in order to know if it is safe to apply those substances.
