How much thick are terrazzo tiles?
The standard thickness of terrazzo tiles is from 18mm to 25mm. The density of our terrazzo tile is now 2.300kg/m3. Indeed, thanks to our 900 tons press machine we provide high density floor tile.
Thinner than before: now standard terrazzo tiles it is only 20mm thick. Palladiana X Large is 25mm thick.
This is the good news: now terrazzo tiles are available on 20mm thickness. If we look into the worldwide markets, terrazzo is a very commun product. There are production plan almost everywhere. Therefore, the machinary producer are studing every day new solutions and development to ugrade the plan. This means that the technologies is now completely different from before. Today it is possible to sourse 600x600mm format in a thinner thickness because it is a full body tile.
The machinary producer, have the system to take away the bottom part of the manufacture that is sand and cement. By using the latest technologies it is possible to produce mono-layered tile.
Advantage of thinner thickness
There are severals advantages using our products. Here e brief description. First of all, the big advantage of our factory is the transportation cost. Secondly is the cost of installation. Third is the possibility to install the material on thin bed with edhesive insted grinding the material on site.
What is the future?
At the present ime we are not in the position to say if in the future the terrazzo tiles will be available with smaller thickness.
